I came upon a lovely stone,
That caught my inner sight
Looking like a lonely one,
It was shining so bright.
It gave me a feeling of being alone,
I took it to my home
We each had what the other lacked,
But soon the stone began to crack.
The stone said I am lonely,
And the more I will be,
If I am not by the waters,
Beneath that special tree.
I took the stone where I saw before,
And built a house along the shore,
Beneath that tree, the stone would shine,
As I would watch the stone in glee.
