OH! Does this remind you of the Angry Birds movie? Me too.
While I checked my post of Facebook, I kept getting various game ads. After closing a few of them, the bubble popping angry birds’ game just wanted to stay there. Interrupting my screen and work, I angrily shut my FB itself. After a few minutes, I asked myself “Why did I get angry?”
Uh, I behaved like an angry bird myself. This thought initiated this article. So, unknowingly we react or respond to events without thinking most of the time.
These strange looking birds exhibit so much of anger. And I wonder what would be the effect on kids? The birds are so flustered, angry and feathers scrambled all over. Our life is no different. We sail in the storm and in stillness. In the ups and downs of life, don’t we all begin to react like the angry bird? We ignore the reality of things and jump to conclusions. A slightest change triggers anxiety. Our reactions go to the extreme. Our priorities are lost amongst the hustle bustle of things that require undue attention. This adds to the cacophony.
Have we bothered to visit bird sanctuaries, a bee farm or a butterfly park? Have we ever paid attention to the crimson kingfisher that flies high? We need to question ourself to be able to see the beautiful sunrise and the sunset. Let us not just flap our egoistic wings to hurt someone or ourselves. We always have a choice, don’t we? Why should we portray and reflect like those angry birds?
Allow yourself to bloom.
Liberate.
