Have you heard about art and style? Do you know your proportions so you can fit into the best size to accentuate yourself? The investment and time that people put in these days to groom is not alarming anymore as it is now considered an etiquette. The time we put into fitting rooms at a mall or get a tailor-made outfit describes your personality and style.
We all like being in a circle of people who like us, adore us. It is a great feeling when we feel needed and loved. But as we embrace this dose of serotonin day in and day out, there are times when people cross your path leaving you curious and empty. We ponder and choose to change ourselves bit by bit to be able to impress those bunch of people who you realized do not like you. We take those people who liked us for granted and now we start running a race to please others. Desperately trying to walk a path of fire, we want to grab each opportunity to be a part of their circle. Unknowingly we forget who we are. In this rat race, we lose opportunities, our loved ones and as the sand slips in time of life, we have nothing but regret. It is human nature to be felt accepted by others but when we cross boundaries and are desperate, we often miss out on greater things of life. We are not used to accepting failures, unacceptance and conflicting opinions.
Unfortunately, we do not live in a fantasy world where we have colored glittery unicorns, rainbows and fairies on the moon. No matter what we do, there are going to be some who will not like us. There will be many who will glance and stare and dismiss you from their circle. And some who will want you to run marathons for them, jump through bridges and drop you like hot cake when their work is done.
Learning to let go of the need to impress others who do not like you is one of the most freeing things you can do for self-growth and self-improvement.
So, while you shop fitting into your best fit, remember to buy shoes that fit your toe and not anyone else’s.
Fit in the right type of circle that is meant for you.
