We have often learnt about maintaining relationships right from childhood. Have we ever been taught about failures or rejection? And that is why when some relationships don’t work, there is lifelong resentment, remorse, grief and hurt. It could be a parent-child relationship, marriage, friendship or at work. However, for some people, it is so easy to walk away gracefully with no wrinkles or grudges. Instead, they feel relieved or unburdened. That’s because they see the positive side even in the negative.
Any relationship that has stayed for days, weeks, months or years, when broken can bring about an intense emotional or psychological trauma that can hamper your present and linger on for life. It can cause a lot of stress and loss of self-esteem. But not all relationships are meant to last. We are going to lose some people in our life, no matter what the circumstances. Not all people are meant to stay. Some relationships are good to let go and some are worth keeping.
One needs to endure it. Accepting things the way they are, helps us to complain less and thank more. Some situations are beyond our control and no matter what we do, we cannot get them back. The only choice we have is to embrace them. Life gives us a choice every single day. It is up to us of what we learn or make out of it.
As it is said, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”
