Sipping over a cup of tea, I was asked whether I wish to have more,
I was asked if my cup is half, full or empty, so more tea could be poured.
I wondered as I quickly looked into my cup, Do I wish to have some more?
What about people who won’t get a chance to wake up? What if their cup remains on the floor?
My body sometimes feels so sore, to fight another day,
My wallet might not be so full, to fetch me a good feed all day.
I never had things I have wanted, but I have what I need,
My imperfect life too seems so blessed, even with the worse I have seen.
There is always something to be thankful for, though we might stumble or fall,
I might not get more tea poured in my cup, But at least a cup I did hold.
Let Hope never lose its sight, for Hope is all we could have,
What if your prayer was answered? Tomorrow is a new day.
