Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness.
What is emotional hatred, why do people experience it and where does it come from? Hate, as a mode of guilt or of pride, generates destructive thought. When directed to other people, represent pride. When directed to oneself, represent guilt. Criticisms of other people represent jealousy, whilst criticisms of our own self may arise from a sense of idealism.
Why do we feel easy to hate each other? Why is hate floating all around in our consciousness, when at the other end we have learnt and progressed in so many other areas? There are so many reasons of hatred and it can be a debatable topic. Is it a projection? Are we insecure?
We all have intuitions. Becoming more sceptical of your intuition may make you a more accepting person. We become conscious of what we are projecting by pulling back the projection and owning it and then when we catch ourselves hating is becoming conscious about it. Sometimes we hate people even without completely knowing them.
Hate insists itself upon the world because and only because it refuses to become conscious. So wake up! Get conscious. Discover the uncertainties and the dark areas and overcome the insecurities within.
