I went on a stroll in the morning today,
Saw many busy feet walking, running away.
I stepped out my door with an extra smile I had,
With a thought to share it with someone if sad.
As I strolled along, I tried to give away a smile,
To the young, the old and even to a child.
But each time I shared it, I got back one more,
I gathered so many, I didn’t know where to store.
I have a basket of smiles and I don’t know what to do,
Should keep few for myself and share the rest with you.
As I shared them with a few, I knew it didn’t cost much,
No rich or poor can ignore it, a smile cannot be bought.
A smile holds no heed till you share it with someone,
It’s the best cure of nature, to help one in any trouble.
Go ahead and give one away, for you have nothing to lose,
It can make someone so happy and cheer you up too.
