Money, Wealth … Everyone’s desire.
We all need money to survive. We all want it. We all work for it. We all think about it.
We live in an era where Money is considered Power. With increase in the standard of living, Money is what we work for as it is the basic necessity of life. We always find a lack in the amount of resources we have and hence, we wish for more and more. People in olden days had a limited income, or maybe even less than what they needed. Yet, they were content. Well, we can’t compare or judge the way of living in today’s fast track life and then. Circumstances, Needs were different.
These days, kids are accustomed to luxurious way of living. Air conditioned cars, pocket money…(Oh I hardly remember getting a monthly income. Well, my piggy bank was enough to hold coins.) Though we spend a hell lot of finances to educate our children, we yet tend to give them a pampered environment. Do we think that our children will never study, work hard or stand on their own feet? Do we feel that they wont be capable? Don’t we trust them? Why do we give them everything that they need? Why don’t we allow them to hear a NO? Trust me, they will be better individuals. Money is a necessity and the way it is used is more interesting than the way it is flaunted. You may own a big palace or a couple of 5 zeroed amount cars. But is that what we want?
Well, Money is like a flowing stream. It becomes an addiction if over used.
Money — Yes Money — Does it affect the way we behave?
We acquire a lot of knowledge to enlighten our minds but what about the sudden, automatic change of behaviour in people when they rise up to a status in the society? Money can be an excellent motivator too. It can boost up your positive ego. But what happens when this acquisition over powers your ego and mind. Its good to be conscious about it, but isn’t it better to be self sufficient and prioritise money to a specific purpose? The amount of money one earns, has an effect on your own view about yourself and others around you.
It really doesn’t matter if we were born wealthy or inherited it. It all boils down to how you behave when you didn’t once possess it and now when you have it. Don’t forget compassion. Money is a weapon that can make you forget family and friends. Do not forget old friends when you rise up.
Being wealthy can make you change the way you think, but will not change the background or genetic history, your identity. Your paycheck doesn’t determine the kind of person you ought to be. Be kind.
