Mirror! Before your silver coat,
I brush my bouncy hair,
Two eyes twinkling back at me,
I can see my shadow glare.
Mirror! You seem external,
But just reflect what’s in me,
You unravel all my pieces,
And presents that embrace me.
Mirror! You seem a soulmate,
Like a naked ocean so true,
You have no preconception,
Even on days when I go blue.
Mirror! You stop my heartbeat,
Or at times, pound its speed.
You capture what is skin deep,
Or spin my head like a wheel.
Mirror! As you bandage my life,
At all times, high or low,
Will you remain with me in time?
Till my wrinkles glow!
