Time or Money?
I spend most of my time around children, be it at home or at my workspace. Children have taught me things I had forgotten. To relish small joys, to be happy for no reason, to talk silly is all fine. As we grow, we build our own thoughts and inhibitions according to family and social pressures and put together our own beliefs and experiences. Time flies when one is around children. Our feet are on the move.
Speaking about the connection between earning an income and our well-being is yet to be debated or a solution to be found for. It depends on an individual’s priority. When you are young, you possess health and zest, a need, desire to be financially independent boosting your morale and learning all that fits in your plate. But after a certain point, comes a phase when you realise that only earnings does not yearn happiness. We have also realised that people who manage time mindfully and wisely are productive with their work and life in general.
It is a sure path to pride when we say that money leads to happiness. When we speak about which one is more precious, it is all about one’s priorities and how we narrow them down. We tend to spend quality time with things that interest us the most or desire the most. Time has proven to be precious than money. Each one of us have spent that “time” to earn money. Isn’t it? Can we use money to buy time? We all live the same 24 hours but what makes a difference is how each one of us utilize our time.
In a contingency of self-worth and time utilization, which one would you choose?
Prioritize work boundaries and be mindful and protective of your time.
