The life of a student is generally full of fun. Along with scholastic work, there is so much to do. From co-curricular activities to learning a hobby or learning sports, children are supposed to be playing outdoors, bruising their knees once in a while, screaming in joy and making the moment a pleasant one. However, this pandemic has changed life 360 degrees, not only for adults but for children too.
Everyone was initially glad that the coronavirus came with the advantage of studying and attending online classes within the comfort of their home. There was no hustle-bustle of waking up early in the mornings. It started with attending online classes, watching a movie once in a while, lots of time to play, sleep, eat and rest. Time spent with family was now quality time. Oh, this seems just like an illusion. Ask a child and he’d say, Oh I don’t have time. I have this and I have that to complete. One wonders what happened to them suddenly!
However, children are missing meeting their teachers and friends. But thanks to technology, they have online meets now. So, one cannot really complain, right? There is always some alternative. Though things are not completely settled amongst the lockdown, children have learnt to adjust, accommodate and find time to do and learn a lot of things. But gradually their online time has increased considerably and the worry of too much online exposure sets in. Taking care of their eyes, posture and exercise have been an important routine now. This shift of totally getting online teaches one that life is unpredictable. One has to learn to adjust and accept things as they are. I have noticed children adapt quite easily as compared to adults. They are open to new things and if given the opportunity, it can work wonders.
So the bottom line is to Accept, Move on, Learn, Stay happy.
